Amol Pawar, PhD is an Executive Director in the UBS investment bank focused on coverage of biopharma companies. Clients include public and private entities from large cap pharmaceuticals to seed stage companies across all therapeutic areas. Dr Pawar has helped clients in capital raising, mergers & acquisitions, and general strategic advice. Particular areas of interest include companies translating cutting-edge technologies into next generation therapeutics and the intersection of artificial intelligence/machine learning with patient outcomes
Prior to joining UBS via the acquisition of Credit Suisse, Dr Pawar worked at other investment banks including PJT Partners and Deutsche Bank. He also has experience in operating roles including Zentalis Pharmaceuticals, Ovid Therapeutics, and a university spin out company. Dr Pawar received a BA (Biochemistry) and MSc (Chemistry) from the University of Pennsylvania and a PhD (Chemistry) from the University of Cambridge.
