Dr. Justin Penzenstadler is an acting Associate Director in the Office of Cardiology, Hematology, Endocrinology, and Nephrology (OCHEN) at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). He holds a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) and a Master of Science in Pharmacometrics from the University of Maryland, and completed a fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology. His clinical and regulatory expertise centers on the evaluation of therapies for chronic disease. In his current role, Dr. Penzenstadler focuses on the application of quantitative methodologies to inform and strengthen regulatory decision-making. Prior to his current position, Dr. Penzenstadler managed FDA reviews as a Cross-Discipline Team Leader (CDTL) in the Division of Diabetes, Lipid Disorders, and Obesity (DDLO) within OCHEN.
